Community Engagement Manager

Mukhtar Halilu Modibbo  is an Education Campaigner with grassroots campaigns in over 10 African countries and over two years experience in the non-profit sector. He specializes in practical issues associated with open data, advocacy campaigns on Education Financing, and development policies as it affects rural and deprived grassroots communities.

Mukhtar is Part of “Follow The Money” (FTM), a Pan-African grassroots data-driven movement which is a technology & innovation-driven quest billed at amplifying the voices of marginalized grassroots communities in promoting accountability as it affects utilization of public funds focusing on specific communities across Africa.

Follow The Money emerged winner of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Mobilizer 2019 Award.

He is currently the Community Engagement Manager at Connected Development (CODE) coordinating FTM activities within Nigeria. Mukhtar is also a management Staff of ADE in the Cameroon Republic. ADE is an organization working on Education Financing and Youth Empowerment.

Mukhtar was recently appointed as a Youth Leader for Global Partnership for Education.  The Global Partnership for Education is a multi-stakeholder partnership and funding platform that aims to strengthen education systems in developing countries in order to dramatically increase the number of children who are in school and learning.
